COLLABORATE WITH US
Want to be a part of the movement in Scotland?
The Ember Project is a church-based pathway for identifying, equipping, and sending pastors for church planting and revitalisation in Scotland and beyond. Rooted in the life of Wallyford Community Church and shaped by partnerships with like-minded churches, the programme prioritises long-term pastoral formation, cultural humility, and team-based ministry, not quick fixes or isolated outcomes.
Church planting and revitalisation are not solo endeavours; they are the shared work of the wider body of Christ. For that reason, The Ember Project is intentionally collaborative, relying on meaningful partnerships with local and sending churches at every stage of the process.
WAYS TO COLLABORATE
Local Collaborating Churches:
Work closely with Wallyford Community Church to identify, equip, and release teams of lay Christians who support lead church planters. These teams are gospel-shaped, mature, and rooted in local knowledge, enabling planters to establish healthy, thriving congregations.
Churches from Further Afield:
"Adopt" a church planter and target area. This partnership may include:
-
Sharing in financial support for the pastor and their family
-
Committing to regular prayer and spiritual encouragement
-
Sending teams to assist with training, outreach, and community engagement
Through these partnerships, sending churches take an active role in advancing the gospel beyond their own context, while planters gain the support and connections needed for long-term fruitfulness.
Together, collaborating and sending churches help ensure that church planters are well-supported, well-trained and deeply connected to the wider body of Christ, laying foundations for churches that will endure and serve their communities for generations.
